Friday afternoon I met with two television media companies in New York City. I noticed a trend, these big media companies are rapidly embracing email marketing as a vehicle to drive viewership on television.

Yup, email marketing is starting to be implemented to bump GRPs. Perhaps in it’s early stages, but the common thread is virtually all the traditional media companies are racing to build large email databases to target and reach prospective viewership.

We’re starting to measure the success of this with tools like Google Analytics on the website and our email marketing software, MarketTraq Email for Google Analytics.
